When I first moved into my own apartment in the city, I didn’t realize how hard it would be to figure out what to cook every night. Not only did I have a hard time preparing the right food for the week, but cooking became lonely without my sister around. Despite my challenge, I am here to tell you that this is your time to be creative and have fun!
First things first. Every Sunday you should plan the meals to make throughout the week and go grocery shopping with friends! If you get stuck on what to make, head over to my private Facebook group where you can get exclusive recipes to make for yourself and friends! I have also created simple quick recipes to make after a long day of work or while your on the go.
Once you have the ingredients needed for the week. The next step is to jam blast some tunes, and begin your meal prep if necessary. My favorite Sundays are spent with my friends and family, turning up my music and creating healthy and delicious meals for the week.
Since I’m writing this post on a Tuesday, I’m sure you all can guess what I will be making… TACOS! My favorite chicken tacos that I’ve been making for years, topped with a creamy guacamole with the help of my good ole’ friend,Blend Jet.
I found a creative side to me when I started cooking in my first apartment because I was adding and mixing flavors to create masterpieces. Now I wouldn’t say I could Beat Bobby Flay, or be the next contestant on Chopped, but just like with anything else in life, I learned that trial and error are key to learning and getting better in your career. My career is definitely not cooking, but with a little help from my friends, my music, and my recipes, I have practiced over and over to master the recipes I have shared with you all.
I can’t wait to see what meals you have created and share in the comments below, or our Facebook group!
